A regional policy repository
The Education Policy Bank is an online repository containing Pacific Islands countries’ national education policies and strategic plans. It provides a web-based platform for countries to store and share their policies. It also makes available information to relevant stakeholders on what policies each country is designing or has implemented.
The purpose of the policy bank is to facilitate the sharing of policies within pacific island countries to support the development of policies.

Abstract:
The National Recordkeeping Policy (NRP) 2024-2029 is a key initiative aiming to safeguard, preserve, and promote national archives through innovative means to ensure future accessibility. This policy provides comprehensive guidance for government ministries and public entities to strengthen their recordkeeping processes, ensuring efficient and effective methods for the creation, management, storage, disposal, and transfer of records with archival value to the National Archives and Records Authority (NARA). It applies to all government ministries, public entities, NARA staff, record-keepers, and anyone involved in managing temporary and permanent records, including other formats created or received during official duties. The policy aims to ensure compliance with the Public Records Act 2011, which established NARA and outlines requirements for records and archives management. It aligns with international standards from organizations like the International Council on Archives (ICA) and the Pacific Regional Branch of International Council on Archives (PARBICA). The policy will be regularly monitored and reviewed in consultation with government ministries and public entities to ensure its ongoing relevance. Senior officers responsible for recordkeeping are expected to monitor compliance and report to NARA. The Ministry of Education and Culture, through its NARA division, is ultimately responsible for overseeing the policy's implementation.
