A regional policy repository

The Education Policy Bank is an online repository containing Pacific Islands countries’ national education policies and strategic plans. It provides a web-based platform for countries to store and share their policies. It also makes available information to relevant stakeholders on what policies each country is designing or has implemented.

The purpose of the policy bank is to facilitate the sharing of policies within pacific island countries to support the development of policies.

Abstract:
The National Digitization Policy (NDP) for 2024-2029, aims to safeguard, preserve, and promote national archives through digitization and innovative methods, ensuring their future accessibility. This policy is a crucial component of the Samoa National Archives and Records Framework, providing guidance for records and archives management. It is designed to establish procedures and processes for maintaining public records in digital format, addressing the reliability, authenticity, accessibility, long-term retention, and management of original source records after digitization . The NDP applies to all government ministries, public entities, National Archives and Records Authority (NARA) staff, and other users of archives and digital records. Furthermore, the NDP emphasizes upholding the integrity of digital records through bitstream preservation, ensuring no alteration occurs from their original creation to their final processes .
